The Tempest 2020
The work entitled <The Tempest> named after Shakespear’s play. However, the spiral of muddy water is created by man-made structure since it represents the dynamic of the movement of water created by discharging of the dame located on the north east of Seoul, the city where I live. This project-based work started on 2014, is taken by the medium of photography without manipulation of the shape of the object; shape of the spiral. The work delivers dynamic of the shape made by coincedance that cannot be seen our perception of naked eyes.
It is taken with high shutter speed, and each year 10-50 frames selected out of 50000-100000 frames.
